This short movie was filmed during my visit to Kumamoto Prefecture in Japan, where I traveled from New York to see a childhood friend who is also an artist. My friend took a day off from work to show me around the local area. The film focuses on Mount Aso, a unique caldera formed by an eruption that occurred between 250,000 and 90,000 years ago. Through narrative footage, it portrays my friend's family life in a renovated old house, set amidst the majestic natural surroundings of Mount Aso.
