ENGINEERED GARMENTS FW22 Textile Arts By Manabu Gaku Inada
When Daiki asked Gaku to create the artwork for FW22, he started by focusing on textile design. Producing samples for printing on fabric and for actual clothes takes longer than other items. They explored numerous ideas for the textile artwork but eventually narrowed it down to a nautical map and a lighthouse motif. Since Daiki mentioned a nautical-themed collection, Gaku tried an ink drawing with a nib pen to capture the style of etched print illustrations in old Maritime Literature.
